EPSRC Grant awarded to Dr Antonis Papachristodoulou
A £316,000 grant has been awarded to Dr Antonis Papachristodoulou for an 18 month research project called, "Control Theory Tools for Elucidating the Phosphotransfer Network in Rhodobacter Sphaeroides: A Feasibility Study."

CABDyN member Dr Antonis Papachristodoulou will be the Principal Investigator on this project, which started on 1st October 2007. Professor Philip Maini, Professor Judy Armitage and Dr Patrick McSharry will be Co-investigators on the project.

"In this speculative feasibility study in Systems Biology, we propose a 3-stage 'cyclic' procedure that will involve both a control theoretical and an experimental programme in order to understand the phosphotransfer network of R. sphaeroides, using the well-researched phosphotransfer network structure of E. coli as a starting point."
